I want to design my own site but where do I start?

When you are considering Web Site Design, it is always advisable to consider 3 things

• What do I want from the site?
• Will I have to learn a whole new skill like programming?
• How much of my time will it take me?

The main reason why many people attempt to design their own sites is that they are afraid that it will be prohibitively expensive to have one designed for them - NOT SO!

There are many programmes (like Microsoft FrontPage) which are free with many computers, however like all things you can get a grasp of the basics reasonably easily but the moment you want to do anything more detailed it becomes more and more complicated.

It’s a bit like servicing your car ... 99% of us take our cars to a garage for servicing because that’s where the experts are who can do the job in the shortest amount of time.
The same follows for Web Design, if you want a job doing efficiently and well, you go to someone who has spent the time doing the exams, taking the courses etc...
