Internetology - Web Design FAQ

I’ve designed my own site but I can’t upload it to your servers.

Have you designed your site in raw HTML?
If you have, you’ll need an FTP program like cuteFTP (see www.cuteftp.com) This kind of program allows you to send files designed to go on the Internet to the servers at Internetology or to any other ISP’s server (providing you have the correct username and password)

If you have used an editor of some sort (such as Adobe GoLive, Publisher, DreamWeaver) then these programs have built in ftp programs that can send your design to the Internet. Consult the Help section in the software you have used and this should contain a complete description of how to ftp your site to an Internet server.

If you are uploading to an Internetology server, always ensure that your index.html page is placed in the correct directory.

This directory is always /public-html/your-domain.com

For Frontpage users, this directory is /web
